Neurime (v2)
Neurime is a sound installation inspired by neural networks. This version of the installation was presented at the Dumbo Arts Festival in Brooklyn, and features projection on stretched latex. The user presses into nodes projected onto the latex, and the change in depth is detected by a Kinect depth sensor, triggering sound and visual feedback.
I was responsible for the following:
Programming in Java to create neural network inspired connections and graphics
Implementation of OpenKinect Java library to interface with the Microsoft Kinect depths sensor
Sound programming and design in Max/MSP
